چکیده

Specimens of Thripidae (Thysanoptera) species collected from Konya, Karaman and Mersin (2015-2017) were studied through molecular analyses as a part preliminary attempts to establish barcoding system for Thysanoptera in Turkey. The included 23 namely; Chirothrips kurdistanus zur Strassen, manicatus Haliday, Frankliniella intonsa (Trybom), occidentalis (Pergande), tenuicornis (Uzel), Limothrips angulicornis Jablanowski, Odontothrips confusus Priesner, dorycnii Oxythrips ajugae Uzel, Taeniothrips inconsequens Tenothrips anatolicus (Priesner), discolor (Karny), frici Thermothrips mohelensis Pelikan, Thrips angusticeps atratus italicus Bagnall, linarius major meridionalis physapus Linnaeus, tabaci Lindeman trehernei Priesner which detected various cultivated plants weeds. phylogenetic positions the 9-genera, with few exceptions, form their own clades by 18S Ribosomal RNA data on NJ tree. discussed first time Th. linarius, angusticeps, italicus, meridionalis, physapus, F. tenuicornis, Ch. kurdistanus, Te. anatolicus, discolor, Ther. Ox. species. Clearly results COI dataset single UPGMA tree separated genera. Li. angulicornis, Od. confusus, atratus, obtained this study.

Molecular identification key for pest species of Scirtothrips (Thysanoptera: Thripidae).

Effective plant quarantine and biological control initiatives require rapid and accurate identification of exotic and potentially invasive taxa that may cause high economic losses or environmental damage. The genus Scirtothrips Shull includes several species that are serious agricultural pests, and, because of their minute size and cryptic behavior, prone to undetected transport through interna...

Toward the identification of Frankliniella species in Brazil (Thysanoptera, Thripidae)

This paper provides an illustrated key to about 40 species of Frankliniella recorded from Brazil, together with notes about each species. Two new synonyms are established: Frankliniella longispinosa Moulton is a synonym of Frankliniella varipes Moulton; Frankliniella rodeos Moulton is a synonym of Frankliniella gemina Bagnall, all described originally from South America. One new species is desc...

Relationships Among Species of Scirtothrips (Thysanoptera: Thripidae, Thripinae) Using Molecular and Morphological Data

Results of analyses of molecular sequence (COI, 28S-D2) and morphology (21 character states) data, both alone and combined, were used to determine relationships between 18 species of Scirtothrips (Thysanoptera: Thripidae, Thripinae). Two species of Neohydatothrips from Panama were used as the outgroup. Five major pest Scirtothrips were included in these analyses: S. aurantii, S. citri, S. dorsa...

Molecular Characterization of Aureobasidium Species in Iran

Background: Members of this genus Aureobasidium are ubiquitous microorganisms which can be isolated from wide ranges of substrates such as plant materials (phyllosphere, plant debris, bark, roots, fruits and wood), soil, dead wood, air, and as rare etiologic agent of pheohyphomycosis, keratomycosis, septicemia, peritoneal sepsis, and dermatological infections in human. Very little is known on t...

Reproductive Behavior of Echinothrips americanus (Thysanoptera: Thripidae)

Most Thysanoptera possess a haplo-diploid reproductive mode and reproduce via arrhenotoky. Females can mature eggs successively throughout almost their entire life, but in most terebrantian thrips spermiogenesis is complete by adult male eclosion, and testes contain only mature spermatids. In parasitoid wasps this phenomenon of preadult spermiogenesis is described as prospermatogeny. It is uncl...
